The SYNERGY Project (Why?)

thesynergyprojectimageI’ve been around the business networking scene for more than 10 years now. I’ve met a lot of people and I’ve had quite a bit of fun. However, I lacked significant results for my business. I wasn’t building meaningful relationships.

At a typical networking event, I would hand out my business cards to as many people as possible, get as many cards as possible, give my 30-second commercial and listen to 30-second commercials. This was the process as I moved from person to person. I’m not knocking business cards or 30-second commercials. They do have value; however, they often don’t result in real connection.

If I speak to 10-15 people in the course of two hours, the chances of me remembering anyone is slim. Conversely, if I have meaningful conversations with a smaller group of people for a greater length of time, I’m much more likely to understand their business needs and they are much more likely to understand mine. Maybe they won’t need my service, but maybe they’ll know someone who does. They may even be able to offer insights I’d not yet considered that will help to propel my business forward or vice versa.

That is what we’re after with the SYNERGY Project. Synergy means: the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects. If we as business owners can build true connection, we can create synergy. With synergy, our businesses can thrive.

Our focus is quality over quantity. Our meetings start out with traditional networking where you can meet and greet business professionals for the first hour. Afterwards, we break into smaller groups for round table discussion where we share challenges, dreams and aspirations. You have plenty of time to talk, listen, receive feedback and offer feedback. You’ll leave this event with meaningful information and connections.

To be part of our next event, select Training & Seminars and choose the SYNERGY Project you’d like to join. Tickets can be booked online. Space is limited; so don’t delay!
